13th April 2008 - Worcester

Sunday 13th April saw Worcester hold its first meeting of the season. After being towed through the mud to get to the pits it was off to view the track which looked small but fast. Practice went well as did my first race which I won quite comfortably. After some consultation we decided to tighten the belt however this then backfired. With 2 laps to go and with a comfortable lead the belt shredded, forcing me to retire. Keeping our heads high I reverted back to the original setup. After some heavy rain I went out for my final heat. I came second however due to the conditions only Jamie Rodgers and I finished the race from the original eight that started. After the heats the club decided to cancel the finals due to the track condition and award the positions from points scored. Due to the final not taking place my only worry was getting the van through the mud and out of the field.
