What is PCN
The Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (PCN) scheme is owned and operated by the British Institute of NDT which is a UKAS accredited Independent Certifying Body. The scheme is internationally recognised for the training and certification of NDT personnel operating to BS ISO18436-1:2004.To be eligible for PCN level 1 or level 2 examination, candidates must have successfully completed a PCN approved course of structured training to the appropriate PCN syllabus. PCN recognises iRed thermographic training courses validated by the British Institute of Non-destructive Testing.
What is BINDT
The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing is the professional institute and focal point for all those engaged in non destructive testing and condition monitoring. It is concerned with the education and training of its members together with the advancement of the science and practice of the subject.Quality Assured Training
Successful completion of a course of training implies that the candidate has attended all training sessions at a BINDT approved training establishment such as iRed School of Thermography and achieved a satisfactory end of course assessment. iRed will provide trainees and their employers with documentary proof of successful (or unsuccessful) completion of training, together with a recommendation as to the trainee’s preparedness for PCN examinations.
